David was such a great cousin. Always calling on every high day and holy day to stay in touch. Unfortunately I was not great at returning his calls. I was sad to hear of David's passing. I will forever remember his little fish and chip take out in Lower Sackville. I really enjoyed the fish and chips there but even better the conversations we had. Condolences to all the family for your loss especially my Ketch Harbour schoolmates Carol and Norman ... although David was a couple years younger I do remember him fondly as a fun guy to be around the schoolyard.

I was shocked and extremely sorry when I heard yesterday of Dave's passing. We shared an apartment in Toronto during the time when we both obtained our Technical Deployma in electronics. I have many wonderful memories of those times. Dave will be missed but never forgotten. All the best, Alberta, to you and your family.

There are people you meet throughout your life that leave a lasting impression and they come to mind every once in a while. David is one of those lovely humans who travels through my thoughts now and then and I remember the funny, charming young man he was when I knew him. We were connected through our sibling’s (Carol and Leonard) marriage but as I moved away to BC 50 years ago I had not had the pleasure of seeing David since my youth. My condolences to the family.

I have known David most of my adult life. We grew up together he in Hetch Harbour and me in Herring Cove. We worked at Simpson Sears and connected again in the Bay. . He was smart, witty, strong and gentle. He will be missed

Uncle David was also my godfather. I remember as a child he won a Corvette and took me for a ride which was so thrilling! He had the biggest and warmest smile and heartiest laugh and I remember him so fondly laughing with my parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles on many occasions. I was also fortunate to have sailed once on one of his boats and I so cherish that memory - he was so at home on the salt water. I am heart-broken at his sudden passing and send along heart-felt condolences to his wife, children and remaining siblings. I can hear him sparring jovially with my Dad and Grandad. I pray his heaven is on a beautiful sailboat gliding on the Atlantic Ocean while salt air and ocean spray caress his face. Love and miss you Uncle David!

I was terribly sad to hear of my Uncle David's passing yesterday. To Aunt Alberta, Heather and Jonathan, my heartfelt condolences go out to each of you, and again to you, Alberta, for the loss of your Mom as well.
Uncle David was a wonderful man to be around, a great Uncle, I am so sorry that distance prevented me from seeing him more, life is very short, I wish I'd had more time with Uncle David.
I will miss that warm personality and cool, uplifting laugh and sense of humor. I have been fortunate to have been blessed with the most wonderful Aunts and Uncles, today I say goodbye to one. So long Uncle David, you will be missed greatly. I have loved growing up with such a funny man, kind person and very positive roll model as an Uncle. Only Uncle, I believe, to have owned a Corvette, how cool is that :) Rest in peace, smooth sailing
