Susan (Aucoin) Bungay posted a condolence
I wish to express my condolences to the family of Jean. I had the pleasure to work with Jean as a telephone operator back in 1987/88. She was indeed a delightful lady and a pleasure to work with.

Jean & I met in Halifax in 1967 and we remained friends since then. I have so many memories of the last 49 years that its hard to pick special ones suffice to say I remember Jean as a loving wife and Mother. When my husband Vic was very ill Jean and Jim used to come to our home for Sunday dinner and Jean and I would have many a laugh listening to Jim & Vic proclaiming "The Navy is Best!" or "The Guards are best." Being the wife of a servicemen was never easy but Jean always "Kept the home fires burning" and made sure the children were well loved. The portrait you used is beautiful and I will remember her as she looked then. I am glad I was able to assist her in her last months.

Susan I hope that the weeks since your mom's death have allowed you some time to grieve her passing but also appreciate the relief it brings to her--and to you and others who have had to watch her linger too long. She was a spunky lady and, once I realized that she was your mom, I could recognize that aspect of her in you. Take care of yourself. Thinking of you, Judy
