Obituary of Helen Marie (Bowser) Moreash

Helen Marie Moreash Bowser 

It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Helen Moreash 90, at the Halifax Infirmary on November 12th 2021. 

Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Florence Mae Bowser (Phillips) and John Bowser. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

Helen loved her family more than anything. She spent most of her time with her best friend, her son Darren, who did everything for his mother. She enjoyed sharing stories about “the old days”, watching old movies, her show jeopardy, listening to Elvis, and spending time with her loved ones. She had a great sense of humour, loved to joke around, and had a feisty attitude. She was a great mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed tremendously. 

Surviving are her children, Marie MacKinnon (Steve), Geraldine Rose(Jimmy), Debbie Alchorn(Willie) and Darren Moreash.  Grandchildren Tina, Shannon, Willie, Keith, Tara, Jason, Troy, Shane, Kayla, and Jordan. Great grandchildren, Eric, Taylor, Keigan, Katelyn, Brendan, Breah, Dreea, Shayla, Carter, RJ, and Tierra. Great Great grandchildren, Channing and Laney. Special neices Sall and Patsy, son-in-law Mike Raymond. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald Moreash, her beautiful daughter Donna Moreash, and son in law Kenny McFarlane. Brothers, George, John, Ernie, John, Joseph, Arthur, Leonard, James, and William. Sister Mary and Bette. 

Funeral service will be held at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, on November 20 at 11am. Due to COVID-19, all Public Health Orders must be followed. Masks must be worn at all times and proof of double vaccination status and government issued ID will be required.
