Obituary of John Walter Franklin Ehler

Sept. 11, 1949 – Dec.. 20, 2020, Halifax. It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to John on December 20, 2020 after a long fight with COPD. John passed away at home with his family by his side. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Franklin and Marguerite (Jamieson) Ehler.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sharon; sons, Chris (Tammy); Johnny; daughter, Roxanne (Jeff); grandchildren, Alyssa (Craig), Danielle, Emma (Jordon), Emily, Ashley, Alex, Nettie, Nick and Chase; great grandchildren, Jonah, Caleb and Dakota and special girl Aaliyah and her little brother Alexander. He is resting easy now and always be in our hearts.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. There will be no visitation or service by John’s request. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of John. Interment at a later date.
