For all of Mildred's family we are saddened for your loss. We feel very blessed that Mildred was our Mom's roommate at Oakwood. How lucky we were for our Mom to have such a dignified pleasant lady for a roommate. Mildred always had a smile when we walked through the door and I will always remember her laughing at all our silliness and fun we would have sometimes when visiting. Cathy and Jim, it was a pleasure to have met you, and Beulah, I will always think of you on Sunday when you would be at Oakwood to attend the Oakwood church service with Mildred. It was a pleasure having met you. Please know our thoughts and hearts are with you at this difficult time and in the days to come may your best special memories of Mildred comfort you and bring peace to your hearts. My sincere condolences to all of Millie's family. I worked with Millie for many years at the Halifax Sheriff's Office and she was a wonderfully kind and patient person with never a mean word to say about anyone. She was meticulous in her work and always, very quietly, helped anyone who needed a hand. I think of her as "a beautiful soul" and I'm sure she was a wonderful mother who will be greatly missed. On behalf of Susan, Lynn, Kevin and Brent, children of Arlyn and Ginny Colp of Colpton, condolences to the family. Mildred and Beulah's visits were always welcome at Dad's house. Sharing time with Dad's cousin was always fun, filled with laughter, and always involved food. Mildred will be missed.

Trips by Beulah and Mildred to visit Arlyn and Ginny Colp in Colpton will be so missed. Mildred's laugh, and good nature, and love of a road trip was treasured. Food consumed, strawberry shortcakes, and lots of conversation. Joy and love for their one last cousin on their mother's side of the family. Arlyn and Ginny send along their condolences to the family, and love to Beulah who has to be lost without her sister. Arlyn and Ginny are both 88 and own the farm where Mildred's mom, Florrie, was born. Please know that to any of Mildred's family who wish to visit, the door is always open. Love, hugs, and comfort.
