I am very sad that Max has passed away. Over the last few years, as an Access A Bus driver, driving Max, along with his loving partner Brenda, to and from the hospital was the high light of my day. He had a unsurpassed passion for life and I will miss our morning conversations we shared of how the world was unfolding. So sorry for your loss, Brenda and family. God bless you, Max.

Brenda,
So sorry to hear about Max. He was such a pleasant way to start my day, many moons ago at Bell Rd campus. I will be thinking about you in the days and months ahead. Keep the fond memories close. Hugs to you, Jana

I was saddened to hear of Max’s passing. I was a member of the NS Postal Delivery section located in the same building that Max manned the entrance of for many years. Max was the first person that anyone saw as they entered the building and the last when they left. He took his job very seriously. I assume that was the Mountie in him. He was always in a good mood and over time he got to know everyone’s name in the building. I don’t think a day went by that I did not take a few minutes to brighten my day by sharing a story or two with Max.
All the members of the mail delivery section thought very highly of Max. He was simply a great guy. On behalf of all the Commissionaires, past and present, on the detail I would like to pass onto Max’s family and friends our deepest sympathies on his death. The building lost something when Max was no longer there to greet us each day.

Thank you, Brian
He was always so happy to go to work, mostly because he got to chat with some of the nicest people. He really appreciated being included in all the events the "mail room" hosted. We appreciate your kind words so much. He was one of a kind!

Max was a very nice man who was always there to help you. He was well liked by all and easy to get to know and have a chat with. It is very sad to hear of his passing. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend his celebration of life but I will be there in my heart. Rest In Peace Max.

Sheila: That is a great picture- now I know why he left the house so early in the morning and loved to go to work! He enjoyed meeting and greeting people wherever we went. If ill health had not happened he would still be roaming through the Young Street building. Thanks for your kind words and the fantastic photo... he is missed
Thank you, Brenda ( Max's wife)

Max was the Commissionaire here at Young Street and was part of our extended family. His smile of greeting was the perfect way to start the day! He was always helpful, courteous and up for a chat or a good joke. I feel fortunate to have had him as part of my world. Rest in peace Max.

I'm so sorry to hear of Max's passing. I used to work in the Young Street building that he guarded, and his was the first face I saw every morning as I entered. He was the sweetest man, always with a smile and a kind word. When we left Young Street, I was sad to leave Max as he was such a welcomed part of my day.
He will be very missed.

Thank you Melanie, He loved going to work and seeing all the folks in the building. He sometimes shared a story with me even though I did not know who he was talking about...but to him everyone there was a friend - if he had his he would still have worked there!

I work in the Young St. building where Max worked the front desk for many years. Max was one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever known! Always greeted everyone with a smile and by their first name, I always wondered how he could remember all those names!! My condolences to the whole family.
Rest in Peace my friend!!
