Obituary of Daniel Joseph Shornys

Age 86 of Halifax passed away December 12, 2018.  He was a son of the late William and Kathleen (Merlin) Shornys.  Daniel worked for Texaco Canada Inc for over 34 years as an Assistant Credit Manger.  He was a very quiet man who kept to himself but was a family man.  He is survived by his son Bruce (Lise) Shornys, Lower Sackville; daughter Donna Shornys, Halifax; 6 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his wife Gladys Marie Shornys; sons R. Daniel Shornys and William Shornys in infancy; brother in infancy. A special thanks to Tammy his caregiver for her exceptional care and compassion over his last few years.  Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, 149 Herring Cove Road Halifax, NS. As keeping with Daniels wishes there will be a funeral service held Monday January 7, 2019 in the chapel with a reception to follow.  A burial at a later date and will be family only.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Terence Bay.  To leave on line condolences you may visit www.walkfh.com
