Obituary of Albert "Doc" Francis Bergeron
Bergeron, Albert Francis “Doc”: 78, Halifax, passed away at the VG Site, QEII, Palliative Care, on September 19, 2018. Born in Williamstown, Ontario on August 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Duncan and Elsie Bergeron. Throughout his life, he sailed on many ships with the Canadian Navy and loved every minute of it. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois, daughters, Reta (Randy) and Natalie (Kevin), both of Cornwall, ON, his son, Paul (Patricia), Windsor, NS, his grandchildren, Chantal, Windsor, NS, and Melissa and Tyson of Cornwall, ON, as well as his sisters, Margaret, NY, Reta, Quebec, Lillian, Cornwall, ON, his brothers, James, Douglas and Floyd, all of Cornwall, ON, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Elenor and Helen, and bother, Percy. Special thanks to family doctor, Mike Gniewek, and to all the staff of Palliative Care 7A, especially Amanda, Cindy, Patti and Dr. Dempster for all the care given to Al. Thank you also to Leslie Findley, Sambro Creek and Albert Sampson for all the rides, Jaddus Poirier and everyone at Spryfield Legion, Branch #152, and to Walker Funeral Home. God bless you all.
By request, cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. There will be no visitation. A Legion Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 1-4 PM at the Spryfield Legion, Branch 152. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, in lieu, donations in memory of Albert may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
