Obituary of Vitaly A. Salnikov

84, Halifax, passed away  on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Victoria General Hospital, QEII, Halifax, NS.  Vitaly was born in Krasnoyarsk Region, Russia.  He served in the Russian Navy for 35 years, and upon his retirement in 1995, he immigrated to Canada to join his family.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lioudmila “Mila”, his son, Anton (Dorothy), Gatineau, PQ, and his daughter, Elena Bridan (Vladimir), East Petpeswick, NS.  “Deda” is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth, Nikita, and Ilya.  He was predeceased by his parents, Andrey and Irina Salnikov, sister, Anna, and a brother, Dimitri.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 10-10:30 am at Hermitage of the Annunciation, 172 Goosechase Road, Pinehurst, NS.  The funeral service will follow the visitation.  Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pinehurst, NS.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
