Obituary of Barbara Ella Rodgerson

Age 72 of Spryfield, It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely loss of our mother, sister and family member. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Cindy Rodgerson (Larry White), Colleen Rodgerson (Sean Avis), Christine Rodgerson (Joe Remedios ); her brother, Joseph; her sisters, Deborah and Tammy; her daughter-in-law, Tanya Rodgerson and her husband Joseph. She was the proud and loving  grandmother of Aaron, Patrick, Nehiley, Piper, Josefa and David. Barbara was predeceased by her two beloved sons, Glenn and David; her parents, Joseph and Edna Kelly; and her sister, Jocelyn.  She will also be fondly remembered by her life long friend, Diane Sleigh.

Barbara always found great peace in her faith and was an avid member of St. Michael’s Church and the CWL.  Everyone will miss her awesome cooking skills, her cookies and birthday cakes were family favorites. Thank you to all who supported mom during her recent illness. A special thank you to Dr. Swinamer for her patience and compassion.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 27th from 6-8 pm at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday June 28th at 10 am at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, with a reception following in the church hall. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society or Chalice Children’s Charity.
