Obituary of Robert "Bob" G. Hamilton
87, Halifax. Early on Saturday morning, October 21, 2017, Bob passed away peacefully at the VG Site of the QEII hospital after spending his last days with family.
Bob lived a long happy, healthy life and was a loving husband, father and (great) Grandad. He was a Vehicle Tech in The Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) who served during the Korean war. Since his time in the military he gained experience in many trades and became a jack of all trades who took pleasure in helping out others.
He is survived by his children, Deborah (John), Robert (Claudette), Dianne (Donald), Kirk (Joanne), and Justin (Kim); 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Ralph. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Doreen Buck, and his wife, Joanne (Owles).
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Palliative Care unit at the VG hospital and the staff at Home Instead.
As per Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
