Obituary of George Bernard Colp

Age 51, Whites Lake, passed away peacefully on February 14 ,2017 at home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Vern and Joyce (Yeadon) Colp. He worked for many years as a welder by trade. He loved spending time with his grandson, Austin, who he shared a special bond with. His granddaughter, Eden always cheered him up and brightened his day. He enjoyed gold panning and being artistic, he was well known for his relief carvings, his amazing talent and hard work was truly stunning. George was an exceptional husband, father, poppy, brother and son and will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Heather Ward; children, Nicholas Colp Mosher (Kate), Bernice Mosher (Glenn), Donald Mosher (Mandy); grandchildren, Austin, Eden, Jaylen, Luxey, Serena, Mason and six siblings. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Kassidy Anne Christine. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where a service of remembrance will be held Saturday February 18 at 1 p.m., reception to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. We would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit, as well as all the staff from the VON and homecare.
