Obituary of Gerald Thomas Snow
60, Spryfield, passed awayon Saturday, June 25, 2016 in the QEII, Halifax Infirmary, with his daughters by his side. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Ernest and Rita (Turner) Snow.
Gerald loved sports growing up, especially hockey and baseball. As he got older he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a hard worker, having worked as the foreman of Canwel Building Supplies Centre. He will be greatly missed by his dog, The Boo Man and by many friends.
Gerald will lovingly be remembered by his daughters, Kim Snow (Doug Smith) and Shelley Snow (Jason Pittman); grandchildren, Anthony Corano Richards, Marshall Patrick Thomas Snow, Madison Barbara Pittman-Snow and Noah John Pittman; brothers, Ernie (Nancy), Kenny (Darlene); sisters, Sandra Snow, Nancy Schnare, Mary Barkhouse (Oliver), Shirley DeWolf (Miles) and Sheila Snow, his favorite niece, Kelly Schnare other nieces and nephews, Tracy, Nikki, Samantha, Jennifer, Jackie, Timmy, Steven, David, Mandy, Cheryl, Stephanie, Ryan, Jamie, Christine, Barrett and Jason; many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Patricia Snow; brother in-law, Ronnie Schnare.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield, where visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29 from 6-8 PM. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, June 30 at 2 PM from the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
