Obituary of Reginald "Reg" R. Richards

Richards, Reginald "Reg" Ralph:  76, Halifax, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the QEII, New Halifax Infirmary.  Born in Halifax, NS, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Craig) Richards.  Reg was an avid fly fisherman and will be remembered for his gift of tying flies.  Throughout his life, he had been employed with DND as a scheduler, from where he retired.  He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lorraine M. (Barron), his son and best friend, Kevin (Geraldine Trimmings), Halifax, his brother, Lawrence "Larry" Richards, Halifax, as well as his treasured granddaughter, Amanda Richards (Michael Marks).  He was predeceased by his parents, a son, Stephen, and brothers, Eric and Billy.   By request, cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (902.477.5601).  There will be no visitation or service, in keeping with Reggie’s wishes.  Donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
