Obituary of Florence Irene Isnor (Awalt)

Age 82, Spryfield, passed away peacefully at the V.G. Site,  QEII on May 4, 2016. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (MacDonald) Awalt. Our mother was a loving caring person. She donated her time by knitting squares for blankets for charity and always donated to the Food Bank. She enjoyed camping, dancing, movies, shopping and watching her favorite shows, Days of Our Lives, the Game Show Network and Coronation Street. Florence is survived by sons, Joseph (Janet), John, James (Charlene), Albert (Niecey); daughters, Marsha Slaunwhite (George) and Patty (Allan), all of Halifax; brothers, Arthur (Eleanor) and John (Verna); sisters, Roberta (Gerald), Madeline, Marion and Darlene (Bill); grandchildren George (Gina), Michael (April), Lisa (Andrew), Adam and Angel; great grandchildren, Alex, Jase and Madeline. She was predeceased by her husband Albert; daughter-in-law, Debbie; brothers, Michael, Daniel and Frankie; sister, Mary. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where visitation will be held Wednesday May 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Saturday May 14 at 1 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery Lower Sackville. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the third floor ICU  V.G. Hospital
