Obituary of Edna I. Evans

Age 65, Halifax. It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Edna on January 13, 2016. Edna was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Parsons) Hopkinson. Edna was a friend to anybody who needed one. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She is survived by her husband, Clifton; children, Patrick (Lynn) Hopkinson, Paul (Kelly), Paula (Jeffrey) Evans and Laura Lea (Marc) Blackburn; grandchildren, Victoria Evans, Nathan Blackburn, Ashley and Mandy Campbell, Ryan and Jenna Hopkinson, Christopher Evans and Jordon LeBlanc who Edna loved as her grandson; brothers, Raymond (Annette) and Allen (Catherine) Hopkinson; sister, Brenda (Donald) Evans; sister in-law and best friend, Barb Creamer; cousin in-law, Lorraine Hennigar, who she loved dearly; many nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by her best friend and tea buddy, whom she missed dearly, Lovie McKay. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Dialysis Unit at the Dickson Centre, for the care mom received; also, to the staff at the QEII, for their support. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A celebration of Edna’s life will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 3PM in Timberlea Baptist Church, 31 Greenwood Avenue, Timberlea. Burial will take place at a later date where Edna will be reunited with her mother.
