Obituary of Doris "Doll" Hamm

HAMM (Musolino), Doris "Doll" May:  86, Halifax. It is with hearts full of sadness that the family of Doris announces her passing on January 3, 2016 at Ivy Meadows Continuing Care in Beaver Bank, NS.  She passed peacefully with loving family by her side.  She was born on September 10, 1929 to the late Vincent and Emma (Starling) Musolino of Spryfield, where she grew up, then married and raised her family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She enjoyed caring for her pets, and loved being surrounded by her family.  She was predeceased by her husband, Dermeth Hamm (Sambro); a daughter in infancy; brothers, Angelo and John Musolino; sisters, Jean (Russell) Roache and Marjorie (Kenneth) O’Neill of Spryfield.  Doris will lovingly be remembered by her sons, Duncan (Joan Lynds), Beaver Bank, and Darren (Lia), Spryfield, daughter, Darlene (Billy) Fleming, Shubenacadie; grandchildren, Lisa, Dana and Sarah Hamm all of Spryfield, brothers, David Starling (Jean Stoyles), Lower Sackville, and Cyril Colby, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.   Arrangements have been entrusted to J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (902.477.5601), where a funeral service will be held from the chapel on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 2 PM, followed by a reception.  Interment will take place in Emmanuel Anglican Church Cemetery, Spryfield, in spring.  The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Ivy Meadows for their devoted care and compassion of Mom and also to her fellow residents for their conversations and friendship.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
