Obituary of Barbara Jean (Smith) Connors

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Barbara Jean Connors passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2015.  Born February 17, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Alben Munroe and Jean Furlotte (Connors).  Mom was a huge fan of curling, which she enjoyed watching with her sister, Carol, she also loved to watch Coronation Street.  She is survived by her seven children, Catherine, Marty, Vincent, Jeannie, David, Jimmy and Denise, and grandchildren, Kyan and Lee, who she raised since birth, as well as 15 other grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by 7 brothers and sisters, Gary, Sharon, Wayne, Carol, Allan, Keith and Dana.  Barbara has now joined her grandsons, Christian and Marcus, and brother, Rodney, mother, Jean and Nan, Charlotte, in heaven. By Barb’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
