Obituary of Kim Gary White
55, Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Yeadon) White.
Kim worked for Dexter Construction as a pipe layer for many years. He was an avid hockey player and fan of the Chicago Black Hawks. Known for his award winning smile, he was a social butterfly who enjoyed the beach and sun, cold beer, coconut cream pie, chocolate, golf, camping and a good game of washer toss. A friend to many, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including his cats, Spookers and Maxx.
Kim is survived by his fiancée, Karen Fulton; sons, Justin White (Travis Cox) and Keanu White; sisters, Karen Lyon (Darren Vassos), Kara Purdy ("Amigo" Luis Reyes); brothers, Kerry White and Kevin (Lori) White; many nieces and nephews; extended family, Scott and Lisa Bennett.
Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax. In keeping with Kim’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 2PM from the funeral home chapel, Pastor Gerald Kendrick officiating. Donations in Kim’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the SPCA.
