Obituary of James R. "Jimmy" Watson
67 , Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Dartmouth GeneralHospital, with his loving family by his side. Jimmy was the son of the late Robert and Mary Watson.
Jimmy was an avid letter carrier at the post office for over 30 years. Camping, hunting and fishing was his passion and when he was not at his camp he could be found at home with his guitar, singing country music having a cold one. In his younger years he played in a band. He always had a smile that would speak volumes and his sense of humour (his cartoons and silly jokes) will be missed by his loves ones.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter Tammy Russell (Rob), grandson, Jeremy and brother, Donald Watson. He had a special bond with Patricia, Kimberley and Samantha and his brother-in-law, Pat. Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Debbie Marriott, brother, John Watson and grandson, Stephen, He will be greatly missed by all his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and especially his cousin, Karen as well as best friends, Gary and Chloe.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (902.4775601), where visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 11-1 PM, followed by a service in memory of Jimmy at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
