Obituary of Stephanie Kathleen Curnew

23, Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.  Born October 8th, 1991 in Halifax, she was the daughter of Jim and Lorna (Harnish) Curnew. Stephanie fulfilled her dreams of becoming a nurse by completing her LPN program this year and becoming employed with the V.O.N here in Halifax. She was the type of person who would go out of her way for her friends and family, and did so time and time again; her free-spirited nature touched so many lives. She was an incredibly driven, compassionate, and beautiful person. Stephanie didn't allow her diagnosis to stand in her way showing her strength and passion to be the person she was and always will be to so many. She loved unconditionally and was living her life in the same way.  She will lovingly be remembered by her parents Jim and Lorna; brothers, Joey (Jess) and Jamie (Gabrielle); her pride and joy, Gypsy and the love of her life, Matthew McMullin. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Stephanie was predeceased by her grandparents, Kenneth and Kathleen Harnish and Bert and Norma Curnew.  Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, where visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4 from 1-3 PM. A service of remembrance will follow at 3 PM from the funeral home chapel. Stephanie will be laid to rest in Glace Bay Cape Breton along side her "Nanny" at a later date.
