Obituary of William E. "Bill" Pippy

85, Harrietsfield, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, surrounded by his family. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of the late William and Shirley (Walsh) Pippy. Bill worked at the Chronicle Herald for over 40 years until his retirement. He loved spending time at the cottage in Chester, with the family; hunting, fishing and going on the great Moose hunt with his sons and brother, Gordon. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including his buddy, Holly. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nina (Emberley); sons, Alan (Theresa), Roger (Joanne); daughters, Lois Croft, Kim Kline (Doug MacIacca), Jocelyn (Edward) MacDougall and Shirley Pippy; brother, Gerry (Joan); sister, Jeannie Fraser; grandchildren, David, Russell (Rene) Croft, Reginald (Diana)  Tessia, Sara, Donald, Michael Kline, Tania (Craig) Anderson, William (Trish) MacDougall, William (Christy), Alan (Jacqueline) Pippy, Kristy Pippy (Luke Morris); step grandchildren, Barry, Reese, Trevor, Cale; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 4 great step grandchildren; many aunts and uncles as well as many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by daughter, Pauline; sons in-law Michael Kline and Jack Croft; brother, Gordon; sisters, Shirley "Betty" "Bud" Lavers; Violet McInnis and nephew Little Bud. Special thanks to Dr. Frank Doane and the staff at the QEII for their care and support. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, June 29 at 1PM in Emmanuel Anglican Church, 322 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield. Rev. Gloria McClure Fraser officiating; followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will take place in Sunrise Park Interfaith Cemetery.
