Obituary of Mary Lena Adams

  Age 93, of Halifax, passed away peacefully March 29, 2015 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born on November 18, 1921, Mary was a daughter of the late George and Roseanne (Poirier) Landry. To Mary, bingo was not just a game, it was a passion. She always found time for a few rounds of bingo and made many friends over the years that will miss her dearly. Mary is survived by her daughter Linda (Rick) McNaughton, Halifax; son Donald (Shelly) Adams, Halifax; daughter in law Barb; three brothers and two sisters. Mary will be sadly missed by her four grand daughters; one grandson; two great grandsons and one great grand daughter as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was pre deceased by her husband Donald Bruce Adams; son Darrell Adams; sister Dorothy and brothers Leonard and Don. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., Halifax. A funeral service will take place on April 7 at 11 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 1746 Bayers Rd. Halifax. Reception to follow at the church hall. Donations in Mary’s name can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
