Obituary of Gail F. Armsworthy

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Gail Frances Armsworthy. She died peacefully at her home in Spryfield on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (MacPhee) Flynn. Gail was a valued employee at Sobeys since 1974, most recently managing Griffins smoke shop at the Halifax Shopping Center. She was an avid lover of country music, and a devout member of Saint Michael’s parish. Gail leaves us with many fond memories and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her loving partner, Wayne Harnish; sons, Darren (Kimberly) and Joseph (Carrie); grandchildren, Ashley (Susan) and Gabrielle; siblings, Wayne (Donna), Terrance (Linda), both of Halifax, Patrick (Sandra), PEI, Steve (Heather), Halifax; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol and brother, Walter "Butch". Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, where visitation will be held on Monday, March 16 from 4-8 pm. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 11 am from the funeral home chapel, Fr. Henry Ahorlu officiating; with a reception to follow.
