Obituary of Helen Oxner

age 78, Of Eastern Passage, formerly of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 22, 2015 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, Helen was a daughter of the late Curtis and Marjorie Jennex (Malley). Helen enjoyed quality time with her family, puzzle books and was always up for a game of Bertha or rummoli.  Helen is survived by her children: Joanne, Jim (Rita), Craig (Yolanda), 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was pre deceased by her husband Charles; daughters Marjorie, Beverly (Wilson), son Terry (infancy); daughter-in-law Carrie-Ann (Clarke); son-in-law Ken Wilson; sisters Marjorie, Gladys, Pearl, Hazel and Edith; brothers John and Bill. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd, Halifax. In keeping with Helen’s wishes there will be no visitation.  A graveside service will be held Friday February 27, at 1pm from Oakridge Memory Gardens Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
