Obituary of Marion Georgina Boltz
An angel from heaven came to carry our mom home on January 7, 2015 at the age of 89 at the Maplestone Enhanced Care in Halifax. Born on March 29, 1925 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Marion was the daughter of the late William Edwards and Stella Marguerite Croft. Marion was a foster mom for many years, and was employed at Sears for over 15 years. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Marion and her husband, Nelson, were avid gardeners at their summer home in Middleton, N.S. They enjoyed when the children and grandchildren would come to visit, to see the fish in the pond, pick fresh vegetables from their garden, and ride the tractor with Granddad. Marion is predeceased by her husband, Nelson, brother Bill, and half- sister Deloris Shrider. She is survived by brothers Leo and Paul, half-sister Madeleine, and her four children: Dennis (Shirley), Donald, Deborah Boltz, and Darlene Borden(Tab) ; 10 grandchildren: Sean Boltz (Krista), Sheri Boltz, Natalie Longaphy (Chris), Ellen Boltz Moore (Peter), Amanda Finlay (James), Pamela Boltz Chau(Hoan), Rebecca Dauphinee (Evan), MacKenzie Ferguson, Keri Borden, Holly Borden, and 16 great-grandchildren: Grace, Liam, Jodie, Vicky, Charlie, Bobby, Lennon, Sinead, Hannah, Brooklyn, Shoshana, Shorey, Mallory, Julia, Sam, Evyn. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank.
