Obituary of Sidney Clayton Billard

Halifax, passed away on December 12, 2014 in Parkland Nursing Home, after a long battle with dementia. Born in Burgeo, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Thomas and Melida Billard. Clayton is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jackie (Brackett); daughters, Donna Fleming (Keith), Champion Alta.; Patricia Bond (Bruce), Chester; sons, Clayton (Crystal), Leduc Alta.; Robert (Rosa), Seabright; numerous siblings throughout Canada and United States; grandchildren; Sidney, Jesse, Thomas, Haley, Skyler, Johnathan, Madeline; great granddaughters, Ava Dawn. He was predeceased by eldest son Sidney. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Clayton’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia. We would like to thank all 2nd floor staff Parkland Estates for the loving care they had given Clayton. A very special thank you to Shelia (housekeeping) for being such a loving, caring person.
