Obituary of Arthur Douglas Creelman
72, Antrim, NS, formerly of Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Ralph and Catherine (Mayo) Creelman.
Throughout his life, Arthur had been employed with the Halifax Water Commission, from where he had retired. When he had been able, he loved to spend time at the camp, where he enjoyed "tipping a few". He will be remembered for his love of old movies.
He is survived by his sons, Ralph (Sarah), Darrell (Paula), Robert (Gerry), Kevin (Penny), and his adopted son, Larry (Nancy), his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Christopher, Bryan, Ryan and Jessica, his great-grandchildren, Abby and Alivia, his brothers, Gary, Terry, Larry, and Paul and sisters, Pauline, Sandra, Carol, Donna, Nancy, Janet and Doreen, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife in 2012, Diane Marilyn (Ryan), his parents, his son, Larry and an infant daughter, Denise.
Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 12-2 PM, with the funeral service to follow beginning at 2PM in the chapel with Rev. Gordon Relf as officiating clergy. The family would appreciate donations in memory of Arthur to the charity of one’s choice.
