Obituary of Ethel Louise MacDonald (Hussey)

Age 83, Timberlea, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2014 at Northwood Centre. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jennie (Hackett) Hussey. Ethel’s family was her world. She loved children and her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Ethel is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Kenneth "Ken"; son, Barry wife Tammy Ann MacDonald, Wentworth; daughter, Cathy (Brian Pond), McKees Mills, NB.; sister Joan Low, Dartmouth and grandchildren, Sarah and Maxwell. She was predeceased by brothers, Howard, Walter, and Doug and sister, Shirley. Special thanks to the staff on 6C at Northwood for their excellent care and obvious love of the people they take care of every day. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Funeral mass will be held Thursday November 27th at St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 36 Purcell's Cove Road, Halifax at 10a.m. Please join Ethel's family for a reception in the church hall immediately following. Interment to take place in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Mumford Rd. Halifax. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
