Obituary of Shirley Ann Westhaver

Age 73, Hatchet Lake. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Westhaver (Conrad) on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Shirley retired after 41 years of service as a bookkeeper for F.W. Woolworths. Shirley loved spending her time enjoying her true pleasures, which were gardening, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, John "Roly"; brother, Douglas (Linda); neice, Candace Slaunwhite (Jody); great nephews, Taylor and Cameron Slaunwhite; also many other nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Percy; mother, Dorothy (Lusher) and sister, Dorothy. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., (477-5601), 149 Herring Cove Rd., where a memorial service will be held on Thursday August 22, at 2p.m., Rev. Gordon Relf officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank her wonderful care worker, Mary Clarke, as well as the nurses of the V.G. Site, QEII,  Pallative Care Unit for the excellent care they provided Shirley, and also the wonderful EMS’s and Hatchet Lake Fire Department.
