Obituary of Joseph Edward Monk

79, Halifax, passed away May 29, 2013 in the V.G. Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Freeman and Mary (LeBlanc) Monk. He is survived by sons, Edward "Ted" (Debbie); Michael "Paddy" (Sharon); Freeman (Tracy); daughter, Kim (Steven) Iyoupe; brothers, Walter; Morris; sisters, Pearl Poulin, Theresa Bungay; Rosie Albert; grandchildren, Dustin, Kaylyn, Ashley, Robyn, Mary, Matthew, Sara, Tyler, Cheyenne; great-granddaughter Braelyn, many neices and nephews. He was predeceased by first wife, Mary (Bates), second wife, Marilyn (Lynch), brother Clarence, sisters Irene, Alice, Agnes, Margy. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). Funeral mass will be held Saturday June 1 at 10:30am from St. Benedict’s Parish, Radcliffe Dr. Halifax, Fr. Sam Basta as celebrant. Interment to follow in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Following the interment a reception will take place at 3 Ford St. Halifax. Donations in memory may be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society Of Nova Scotia.
