Obituary of Daniel Truman "Danny" Lecky

60, Halifax, passed away April 14, 2013 in the QEII, V.G. Site, Palliative Care Unit. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Winnifred (Costley) Lecky. Danny was a man that enjoyed the outdoors; it was then that he was the most spiritual. He was always ready to stop and talk to someone about their day. Danny was the family historian and always had a story to tell about a photo. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Grace Morris (Richard Jessome), Halifax; Joyce Vis (Paul), Saanichton, BC; aunt, Ruby, with whom he lived for many years in Berwick. He has left many fond memories for his nieces and nephews, Roxanne, Colleen, Donnie, Anne Marie, John, Stanley, Samantha and Michelle; extended family and friends. He was predeceased by brother, John. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be held today, April 17 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, April 18 from 2 – 4 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 p.m. from the funeral home chapel, Rev. James Haughn officiating; interment at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a children’s charity of one’s choice.
