Obituary of Marion Caroline Lecky

LECKY, Marion Caroline – 70, Halifax, passed away peacefully,surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at home.Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence(Wilkonson) Gerrior. Marion worked at St. Mary’s University for manyyears. She was a mother to the whole community and will be missed byall who knew and loved her. She is survived by sons, David and Robert;daughter, Theresa Kersey; grandchildren, Shandi Boudreau, BrittanySwinimer, Marshall Kersey and Makayla Flemming; great-granddaughters,Lilly Mae Swinimer and Adalia Marion Townsend; brother, Richard;sister, Theresa Gerrior. She was predeceased by husband, David; son,Freddy; brothers, Frank, Douglas and Eddie. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 5-8 PM in J. Albert Walker Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, March 12 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel; reception will be held at the Earl FrancisLegion, Branch 152; interment to take place in Sunrise Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatlyappreciated.
