Obituary of Rhonda Darlene Dawson

54, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the VG Site, QEII, after a brief illness. Born in Kline Heights, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Moyra (Jollymore) Dawson. Rhonda was a recent graduate of Eastern College in the Executive Office Assistant program, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She was a devoted partner, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by her beloved pets, Jake, Cruise and Peanut, and by all of those who knew and loved her. She will lovingly be remembered by her partner of 27 years, Ed Walsh; children, Clarence (Cecelia), Craig (Jennifer), John (Laura) and Natasha; eight grandchildren, Bradley, Brett, Allison, Braeden, Tyler, Asja, Connor and Aden; brothers, Wayne (Marie), Jerry, Jackie and Kenny (Peggy); sisters, Carol (Seldon) and Debbie; her bestfriend/cousin, Cathy Jollymore; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Johnny in infancy; sister, Kathleen in childhood. Arrangements are under the direction of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14 from 5-7 PM, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 7 PM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Russell Saulnier officiating; interment to take place at a later date. Donations in Rhonda’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
