Obituary of Etta Evelyn Slaunwhite

Slaunwhite, Etta Evelyn-93. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother Etta who left us on January 24th 2013 in the QEII. Born in Terence Bay she was the daughter of the late Hezron and Ida Jollimore and loving mother to Merle (Violet), Gary (Florence), Wayne (Brenda), Louie (Darlene), Shirley Collins (Lorne), and Beverly who cared for her as only  a daughter could. She also leaves behind a sister, Helen (Arnold), 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, fondly remembered as Nana Banana to some of the younger ones. Etta was predeceased by her husband, Leo Edward Slaunwhite, her son, Merle, grandson Todd, 3 brothers and 3 sisters., Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday January 28. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 29  at 11 a.m. from  St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Terence Bay, and she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery . Family flowers only please.
