Obituary of Conrad Savoury

  SAVOURY, Conrad — 74, Halifax, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Abbie J. Lane Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Corbin, N.L., he was a son of the late Cyril and Maggie (Poole) Savoury. Conrad loved listening to Newfoundland music and playing the accordion with family and friends. Conrad was a loving companion, father, grandfather and brother. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by companion, Theresa Aldridge; son, Cyril Savoury; daughter, Linda (Neil) Hiscock; brothers, Murdock, Allen (Regina), Joseph (Mary); sisters, Meta (Lloyd) Martin, Caroline (Cecil) Locker, Marina (Smokey) Lawrence, Emma (Rick) Morgan and Ann Meade; grandchildren, Shane Savoury, Richard Hutchings, Kevin and Kayla Savoury and Michelle Boland; great- grandchildren, Shynne, Hope and Brandon Savoury; many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601), 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be Thursday, November 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., with funeral service on Friday, November 23, at 10 a.m. Reception to follow in the Earl Francis Spryfield Legion from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Family flowers only, donations in Conrad's memory may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
