Obituary of Gina Evelyn Pace

PACE, Gina Evelyn – 55, Halifax. With great sadness, we the family of Gina Pace sadly announce her passing on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the QEII Health Sciences Center.  Gina was born February 25, 1957 in Halifax. She was the daughter of Bridget (Byrne) and the late Wilburt Pace.  Gina had a wonderful sense of humor; she was a thoughtful and loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will be so sadly missed by all. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Jolene) and Lorne; daughter and best friend, Natasha. She is also survived by her friend and father of her children, Thomas Pottie; siblings, Lorne, Bridget (Dave), Suzette (Jamie) and Brian; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gina was predeceased by her sister, Holly. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A service celebrating Gina’s life will be held on Monday, July 9 at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel, with a reception to follow. Donations in Gina’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
