Obituary of Georgena Mae Landry

Landry, Georgena Mae-86, Halifax, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, March 16, 2012,  in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Sonora, Guysborough Co., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Jack) Livingstone. Georgena was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by sons; Gene, Halifax, Wayne, Ontario, Tony (Irene), Ontario; William (Mary), Halifax; daughters, Elaine (Gary), Hants Co.; Diana, Ontario; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters, Olga, Mary and Sheila; brothers, Douglas, Glen, Andrew, Ivan, Roy, Brian and Eldridge.  A special thank you to Dr.Hugh Matheson, the staff of 5.2 Halifax Infirmary, VON and the Red Cross Home  Care Worker’s. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20 from 11 am – noon., with funeral service to follow at noon  in the funeral home chapel.
