Obituary of Edith Estella Brunt

96, Halifax, passed away on March 10, 2012 in the St. Vincent Guest Home. Born in Sambro, she was a daughter of the late George and Olive (Hart) Hamm. Edith was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and is best remembered for her wonderful pies. She also loved the Saturday night dances with family and friends. Edith is survived by sons, Rod (Wendy), Halifax; Norman (Joan), Dartmouth; sisters, Irene Schnare (Royce), Sambro; Jessie Miller, Halifax; Josie Green, Ontario; grandchildren, Jeff, Lisa, Jill; and 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Robert; brothers, Lionel, Russell, Derm; sisters, Clyda, Isabel. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday March 13, at 2p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville, with Rev. Kathy Bourboniere officiating. Donations in memory may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
