Obituary of Kevin David Johnson

JOHNSON, Kevin David – 34, Spryfield, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at home. Kevin was born in St. Catherine’s, Ont., but raised in Spryfield. He was an avid fan of hockey (Oilers), motorbikes and four-wheeling. He enjoyed spending lots of time with his family and many friends, especially his special lady, Paulette and his babies, Nelly, Jersey and Jade. Kevin will be remembered for his great sense of humor, quick wit and as being the go to guy, dependable and reliable. He will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by his fiancée, Paulette Parent; mother, Debbie Ramsay (step-dad, Wayne); father, Ricky Johnson; siblings, Peter Johnson (fiancée, Jaymie Bueno), Leslie Clyke (brother in-law, Bobby), Kaleb and Katie; grandmother, Jacqueline Johnson; cousin, Jason Bruce; special nieces and nephews; lots of extended family. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of the QEII 9A and to all the people who have been a support to Kevin and his family through out his illness. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28 from 11 AM - 1 PM, followed by the service at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel, private family burial to follow. Family flowers only, donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the SPCA or the Bide a While Animal Shelter.
