Obituary of Beryl Floretta Webb

Webb, Beryl Floretta (Yorke)- Mount Uniacke. It is with great sadness that Beryl’s family announces her passing on July 6th, 2011 at the QE11 Halifax Infirmary. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Born in Yorke Settlement on Aug. 24th, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Maud (Davis) Yorke, Lower Five Islands. She is survived by her daughter, Patrica (Jim) MacLean, sons, Allison (Renada), Gary (Martha), David (Marion), Steven (Debbie), Ronald (Marilyn), Donald (Carol), and daughter in law Lucy, 14 grand children and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Mina (Berry) and Elsie (MacIntosh), brother Paul (Joyce) Yorke. Beryl was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Logan, son Kevin, a grandson and sisters Neva, Gwendolyn, Marilyn, Brenda brothers Alton, Hollis, Cecil, Carman, Kenneth, Royce and Walter. A special thank you to Dr. MacKean, Colleen and the wonderful nurses on 8.4. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Peniel United Church, Five Islands Cumberland County with a funeral service to follow at 3pm officiated by Rev. Florence Antle-Brison, assisted by Rev. Neil MacDonald, interment to follow in the Five Islands Baptist Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
