Obituary of Marjorie Reita Elizabeth Anne Roberts

Roberts, Marjorie Reita Elizabeth Anne - 80, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, with her loving family by her side. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Lewis. Marjorie loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to bingo, playing a good game of crib. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Manson)Malay, Dartmouth, Lena (Spencer) MacDonald, Halifax; Shelley (Ralph), Roberts, Edward both of Halifax; sons, Tom (Brenda), Roberts, Halifax; Edward Roberts, Dartmouth and Victor (Melodie),Roberts, Halifax, 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two unborn great grandchildren, sister, Mildred, Halifax, brothers, Martin, Sackville, Robert, Antingonish, Gordon (Mildred) Halifax, and brother –in-law, Pat Lundrigan. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Thomas James Roberts, sisters, Winnifred, Edna, Annie, Jean, brothers, Francis and Brian, sister –in-laws, Cordella and Evelyn. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005), 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday, August 12 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery. A reception to follow at the Capt. William Spry Lodge. Donations may be made to the IWK Health Center Foundation.
