Obituary of Madge Gloria Edwards

75, Halifax. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Madge passed away at home peacefully on October 7, 2010. Born in Hermitage, NL., she was a daughter of the late William and Hazel (Hill) Rose. Madge is survived by husband Harvey; son John Saunders (Doris), Dartmouth; step son Waylen Edwards, Vancouver, BC.; daughters Shelia Saunders Dixon (Brian), Sharon Saunders Kearns (David), both of Halifax; stepdaughter Angela Howlet, Victoria BC.; brother Ernest (Cheryl) London, ON.; sister-in-law Carole Rose, Halifax; grandchildren Jamie Dixon MacLellan (Ian), Dwaine Dixon, Terry Saunders, Aaron Saunders, Lindsay Kearns; stepgrandchildren Makayla Fortin, Aden Howlet; great-grandchildren Carter and Aiden MacLellan. She is predeceased by brothers Gordon and Lindsay Rose; sisters and brother-in-laws Joan (nee Rose) & Gordon Babin, Beatrice (nee Rose) & Williard Losier. Arrangements under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). A funeral service for Madge will be held on Tuesday, October 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Herring Cove Rd. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Association of Nova Scotia.
