Obituary of Annie Mae MacInnis

89, Halifax, passed away October 3,2010 in Glades Lodge. Born in Judique, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Christina (MacEachern) MacInnis. Annie had worked in the food services with Department Of National Defence starting in the Officers Mess and was transferred to the hospital at Stadacona until her retirement after 25 years. Annie is survived by son Michael (Donna); neice Dianne MacInnis; sister-in-law Connie MacInnis, all of Halifax; cousins Greg and Pat MacDonald, Lower Sackville; her two cats Handsome and Baby and many relatives in Cape Breton. She is predeceased by son Allen Joseph MacInnis, brothers John and Jim, and sister Marie MacInnis. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd. where visitation will be held Tuesday October 5 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with funeral service on Wednesday October 6 at 2 p.m. from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Michael’s Ave. Interment to take place Friday October 8 in the Oakridge Memory Gardens Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
