Obituary of Amy E. Osmond

OSMOND, Amy Elizabeth - 20, Prospect Bay, passed away unexpectedly by accident on August 31, 2010. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, she is the treasured daughter of Glenn and Diana (Rideout) Osmond. Amy was a kind, loving and beautiful young lady who will be remembered for having a sweet personality. She was selfless, always putting others needs ahead of her own. Always ambitious and enthusiastic, Amy had recently graduated from NSCC with a business and marketing diploma, and was currently ready to start at Mount Allison University with the aspirations of becoming a teacher. She will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by her parents, Glenn and Diana (Rideout) Osmond; her brother, Stephen Osmond; grandfather, Ralph Rideout; special friend, Nick Tibbo; her aunts, Donna Morrissey, Wanda Dove (Lindy), and Karen Ropson (Andy); her uncles, Tom (Fronie) Osmond, Eric Rideout, and Paul (Jackie) Rideout; as well as her cousins, Nikki Dove, Michael Dove, David Morrissey (Charlene), Bridgette Morrissey, Emma Ropson, Cody Osmond, Jake Rideout, Caitlyn Rideout, Michael Rideout, and Dylan Rideout, and many, many friends and former classmates. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Enerchius and Claudine Osmond, and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Rideout. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service in memory of Amy will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 2 PM from Emmanuel Anglican Church, Herring Cove Road, with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye as officiating clergy. Interment will take place at Sunrise Park Inter-Faith Cemetery, Hatchett Lake. The family would appreciate donations made to the family at this time.
