Obituary of John Pettipas

Pettipas, John William: 90, Halifax, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2010 at the New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS. Born in Portuguese Cove, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ada (Fry) Pettipas. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura Millington, Lower Sackville, NS, and nephews, Kevin Oakley, Wayne Shipley, and Ken Shipley, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Kathleen Oakley, and his brothers, Fred and Gerald Pettipas. Funeral services have been entrusted to JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by a celebration of John’s life in the funeral home chapel beginning at 1 PM. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
